Structured swim training. Small groups. Individual attention.
Training alone can be difficult — particularly in the pool. Our weekly Swim Squad gives you a structured coached session while still allowing us to provide individual feedback and support.
Swim Squad runs Wednesday evenings at Wyre Forest Leisure Centre, Kidderminster, with sessions designed to develop your technique, fitness, pacing and confidence in the water.
We offer different distance options within each session, so you can train at a level that suits your ability and goals.
Most importantly, we keep our groups small. You'll get the motivation of training with others without getting lost in a busy squad.
Whether you're training for a triathlon, developing your swimming or simply looking for a better way to train, you're welcome to join us.

This course is designed for swimmers who are confident swimming breaststroke and would like to develop the skills and confidence to swim front crawl comfortably and efficiently in open water. Our small group numbers mean you get personalised feedback in the moment.
The session begins with one hour in the pool (Wyre Forest Leisure Centre), where we'll focus on the key building blocks of front crawl, including body position, relaxed breathing, efficient kicking, arm action and stroke timing. Through a series of progressive drills and individual feedback, you'll develop the confidence to swim with your face in the water and begin linking the stroke together.
We'll then move to the Broadfields Wild Swimming lake for a one-hour open water session, putting these skills into practice in a supportive environment. The focus will be on adapting pool technique to open water, including relaxed breathing, sighting, swimming in a straight line and building confidence swimming front crawl outside. There will be plenty of opportunities for coaching, practice and individual feedback throughout.
By the end of the course, you'll have the tools and confidence to continue developing your front crawl in both the pool and open water. This session is suitable for novice front crawl swimmers and those looking to transition away from swimming exclusively breaststroke.
By booking, you are agreeing that:
You are generally fit and well and have not been advised against doing physical activity in open water
Are water confident
Confirming that you are happy taking part in an extreme sport and do so at your own risk
This course is designed for swimmers who already have a basic front crawl and want to become more confident, efficient and relaxed when swimming in open water. Our small group numbers mean you get personalised feedback in the moment.
The session begins with one hour in the pool (Wyre Forest Leisure Centre), where we'll refine the key technical elements of front crawl. Through targeted drills and individual coaching, we'll focus on improving body position, stroke efficiency, breathing, rotation and propulsion, helping you swim with less effort and greater confidence.
We'll then move to Broadfields Wild Swimming lake for a one-hour open water session, where you'll apply these skills in a real open water environment. The session will cover adapting your technique for open water, including sighting, pacing, breathing in changing conditions, swimming in a straight line, and maintaining an efficient stroke without pool walls or lane markings. Individual feedback and coaching will be provided throughout.
By combining technical pool coaching with practical open water application, you'll leave with greater confidence, improved efficiency, and the skills to enjoy longer, more relaxed front crawl swims in lakes, rivers or the sea.
